Let's Talk About Macaron.

So today I decided to challenge myself write an entry in full English. I'm so scared to take MUET exams the upcoming year. I don't think I can do a good job if I didn't work hard. So here it is. Post about macaron. Why macaron? I don't know either. This food just pops in my mind. Maybe I need to buy a macaron to satisfy my craving. If there is anything wrong about my post, feel free to comment as I'll take it as an educational way to correct my writing.

The Trek

Poem inspired by Anis UM Kelantan

The Trek

No one said it would be easy.
The path is long,
winding and meandering
studded with jagged stones
laced with thorny weeds
potholes of fathomless pits
sleek mud slippery and sludgy
the incline steep and merciless
the decline harsh on knees
the impact, piercingly painful
and the ways of the hills
erratic, unforgiving.
No one said the trek
would be easy.
Easy is for cowards.
The brave
plow on
trudge on
plod on
hold on
fight on
as we gingerly pick through
the clear patches
making each step count
and steps turn into miles
and miles into a breathtaking journey
the refreshing breeze in our hair
whispering hope into our ears
as we the brave
plow on
trudge on
plod on
hold on
and fight on,
sweat and dirt cake our leathered skin
rain showers misty droplets or
thunderous hailstorms
cleansing the lenses
unveiling a better path forward
sweeping debris away
casting obstacles aside
charting a straighter route
and God willing
we Will
reach our final destination as
after darkness comes dawn
the peak, a celebration
of sunrise
sunlight
sunshine
beaming
as a beacon so bright
greets us on
the horizon of hope
if only we
plow on
trudge on
plod on
hold on
and fight on.

Never surrender.

This trek.
No one said it would be easy.

She Is Not A Girl

There is a girl
Who reminiscing her old memories
Oh my she's not that old
Just sweet sixty
She can't cook
She can't tidy up her own room
Wow
How she lived her sixty years like that
Where is her boyfriend?
I mean her husband
What is wrong with their life?
Why can't she do anything
Like a little girl
But is there a little girl who has white hair?
Wrinkle in their faces.
I mean like, that is a basic to live in this world
I asked her as I can't think more
She answered
She never takes her mothers advice seriously
when she needs to cook
She has a lot of reasons
doing her homework
But actually
watching Netflix all the time
Now I know
why my mothers always nagging to me
help me
I don't want to be like this grandmother
but
where do I start?

This Little Light Of Mine

My 10 Cents About Merdeka and Malaysia

Personal thought.

Di sempena hari kemerdekaan, Najihah cuma mahu muhasabah diri balik. Apa sumbangan aku terhadap negara tercinta. Negara tumpahnya darahku.
  • Mengetahui sejarah kemerdekaan tanah melayu.
Tertidur ok.) Kalau bab lain mata aku memang keras. Kalau mengantuk sekalipun aku sanggup buntangkan mata tengok muka Muallimah Marhamah (Cikgu perempuan) sedang mengajar. Serius. Aku tak tahu kenapa bab paleolitik bagai itu macam lapuk sangat. Aduh, maafkan aku.

So sedikit sebanyak bila dah belajar 11 tahun tentang sejarah di alam sekolah. Still masih belajar sejarah.

Foreingner: Tell me about your country.
Me: Urm...I don't know...

People A: What do you know about XXX?
People B: Oh! there are many beautiful places in XXX  that you should go! such as..bla bla bla. Even though I have not visited XXX but I know all of these places through the Internet.

People A: And what about Malaysia?
People B: Oh... I have visited many places in Malaysia.

People A: And...? That's it?
People B: *smile

Kenapa kita (aku) kena bangga jadi Rakyat Malaysia?
State your answer here ________________________________________________

Aku suka sangat setiap kali perarakan merdeka. Rasa macam patrioritik gitu.

  1. Be proud Malaysian.
  2. Belajar sejarah elok-elok. (sejarah best apa)
Buku sekolah just for introduction. Cubala baca Viva atau artikel kat library tentang sejarah.
  5. Masuk kokurikulum unit beruniform aku tahu penat tapi insyallah berbaloi!
  6. Malaysia is not just for Malay. Dalam Malaysia ini banyak kaum. Perlu respect to each other.
  8. Thank you for reading this humble post. Have a nice day!

About Mrs.Han

She is a PhD doctor in the brain department I think.
And a part-timer lecture
She speaks English all the time
Even though she's Pakistani
She is open-minded
And I like her
She taught us English
Reading and writing
Her class is special
We are not doing past year question
But we heard a song and jot down the words that we didn't know
We are not reading a passage to make a summary
But watching unlimited genre of movies
A fun day
I hope there are a lot more upcoming activities.
Thank you, Mrs Han

I Learn How To Actually Pronoun "Lingerie". It's Not "Lin-je-ri". It is "Laun-je-rii".

So today is Wednesday. Yesterday (Monday) I had a good time with my big family. But unfortunately, Ayah Lang and Mak Lang cannot come. It will be more fun if they are coming and spend their time with us. When it comes to holiday, it will be my best time ever. I can eat whenever and wherever I am. Home is the best place for me.

On this beautiful day, I went to class with low motivation. I have checked on myself. I don't have a fever nor my nose blocked. But I do feel very tired of the god sake!. Time by time I realize there are many red spots in my arms and body. I asked my Ibu, does I have already got chicken pox in my childhood time. She said yes. Well then.

But amazingly! I got chicken pox. Yes, in my 'old' age, that is so rare to see a 19-year-old girl get chicken pox. Wow. Should I get in the Genius Book Of Record? Just kidding.

And in the English class, we just chilling and talking with the lecturer. It was fun! And I learned,

I learn how to actually pronoun "Lingerie". It's Not "Lin-je-ri". It is "Laun-je-rii".

Salmon is not sell-mon. It's sell men.

Tortoise is tor-tos.

Almond is not l-mond. It's Amond.

Also, I learned new vocab. It is atrocious and serviette.

I know my English writing is a bit off. But slowly I will improve. Fighting!

CAROUSELL PARTNERS BOOST E-WALLET, POSTCO, TO DELIVER A MORE CONVENIENT EXPERIENCE TO MALAYSIANS

Strategic partnerships with payment and logistics providers underline the company’s commitment to Malaysia.

Kuala Lumpur, 18 September 2018 – Carousell Malaysia, one of the world’s largest and fastest growing classifieds marketplace is making it even easier to buy and sell on the marketplace. Carousell has teamed up with strategic partners, Boost and PostCo, to address payment and logistics across Malaysia.

Boost, a homegrown e-wallet that allows payment without the hassle of cash, and PostCo, a logistics company that delivers parcels through its network of more than 1,000 locations which include cafes, pharmacies and stores, inked a cross-promotional partnership deal with Carousell in August.

The promotion includes Cashback Rewards for purchases made on Carousell with Boost, as well as a special delivery rate for Carousellers who choose the delivery option via PostCo.

“This is a stepping stone for Carousell Malaysia to provide an end-to-end service for our users. We are committed to creating value for our users and make it more convenient to buy and sell. This trial phase has seen a positive response from users, and we will continue looking for opportunities to improve our marketplace and services to Malaysian Carousellers,” said Tang Siew Wai, Country Head of Carousell Malaysia.

He added that the partnership will run till the end of September, but the company has not ruled out a long-term deal.

Carousell continues to gain traction in Malaysia. For the month of August, it saw total transactions and listings grow by 20% and 30% respectively from the previous month. Response to the strategic nationwide collaboration has been encouraging, with PostCo recording a 47% repeat in Carousellers utilising its delivery services just after a month of partnership and Boost seeing full redemptions in their promotional offers.

Carousell has more than 19 million listings for its Malaysian market as of June 2018, with over 5 million items sold on the marketplace. Globally, it has over 158 million listings and over 54 million items sold across all seven markets in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Australia.

“This partnership marks another milestone in our journey to strengthen our leadership in the e-wallet space and enhance our offerings,” said Christopher Tiffin, Chief Executive Officer of Boost. “Boost simplifies your day-to-day operations by allowing you to manage your cash flow with just one app. With their engaged community and wide variety of marketplace offerings, collaborating with Carousell was a natural move for us. Since the start of our partnership to date, we’ve seen an almost four-fold increase in Boost mentions in Carousell.”

“Our partnership with Carousell provides their sellers with a unique avenue to deliver their items through our network of PostCo locations. It is great to see how much convenience it has offered to the community of sellers on Carousell. Once someone finds it convenient, they will continue to utilise the service for their remaining deliveries. Aside from sending, we also allow buyers to collect their parcels at a specified pick-up point at any time, be it before, during or after working hours. We believe that PostCo will also continue to play a pivotal role for Carousell users in a long run,” said Melisa Wang, Chief Operating Officer of PostCo.

Carousell users can now buy from sellers that accept Boost as a payment option by easily entering the seller’s mobile number in the payment app, selecting the Carousell icon and inserting the purchase details. Moreover, sellers can have their first three parcels delivered from only RM1.90 when they send via PostCo.
